Prairie Queen Members Participate in Fun Festival

On March 5, 2004 there was a Fun Festival titled "Over the Rainbow." Several of the Prairie Queen 4-H club members participated in this event. Milly Spady, Mistress of Ceremonies announced the following members and the event that they are presenting. Alicia James singing "Alice Blue Gown" won first place. Shalyn Laird singing, "Angels Among Us" also, won a first place. Another vocal senior, Jessica James singing "I Can Only Imagine" won a second place. Jessica also played a Piano Solo called "A Curious Story" and won first place.

Next our Mistress of Ceremonies was Jessica James announcing. Junior Piano Solos, Remington Brandt playing "The Entertainer" and he won a blue award. Alicia James playing "Tune-Twister" also, winning a blue award. Jayce Negely playing "Armed Forces Medley" winning a red award. There was a woodwind Ensembles playing "Sound Of Music" that included Tara Spady, Shalyn Laird, and Jennifer Negely.

 

Our next Mistress of Ceremonies was Alicia James. She announced Senior Brass Solo by Milly Spady playing "Memory from Cats" winning first place. Intermediates Cardon and Remington Brandt playing "Wayward Stronger & American Patriot" and winning first place. There was a Group Skit by the Prairie Queen 4-H club girls consisting of Milly Spady, Carrie Roberson, Shalyn Laird, Chevaun Glover, Tara Spady Jessica James, Andrea Williams, and Jennifer Negely called "Heatwave" and won first place. There was a Senior Vocal Ensemble by Brandy Turcotte, Dally Lessenden, April Turcotte, and Marisa Dixon from the Haswell Milemarkers 4-H club singing the "Star Spangled Banner" winning first place. The Sheridan Lake Livewires had an intermediate dance ensemble with Lauren Weber, Megan Linder and Shelby Harris winning first place. Katie Sanders from the Sheridan Lake Livewires played "Goofy Ghost" on the piano and she won a blue award. The whole Sheridan Lake Livewires club had a dance group and they won first place. Also the Cloverbuds from the Sheridan Lake Livewires 4-H club had a skit called "Old Mac Donald" which consisted of Quinton Weber, Wyatt Lane, Samantha Splitter, Reagan Lane, and Madison Splitter which got Participation ribbons.

After the Fun Festival the Livestock Judging team, which consists of Milly and Tara Spady, Jace and Carrie Roberson, Jessica James and our couch Terrel Lessenden had a meeting about our first judging practice which will be on March 8th at 4:00 P.M. and our first competition that will be on March 13th.
