East End EventsFebruary 27, 2004 The Plainview senior class would like to thank everyone in the community who supported them this past weekend. There will be a baby shower for Tara and Cauy Stum March 10 at 7 p.m. at Cheri Hopkins' home. World Day of Prayer will be celebrated at Towner United Methodist Church Friday March 5. There will be refreshments at 9:30 and the program will begin at 10:30. Hazel Woelk and Bernice Tuttle had lunch at the Chatterbox Cafe and visited Clovis Uptergrove in the hospital Sunday afternoon.

Carl and Freda Schmidt went to Syracuse Saturday to see their grandson Michael's basketball game. The team won, seating them second in their district. That evening, Carl and Freda enjoyed game night at the Towner Hall. Jen Poore went home to Woodston, Kansas, this weekend to visit her parents. Mary Louise Huddleston had Sandra and Marlin Stum, Cecil and Dot Crockett, Doris and Darrel Anderson, Sharon and Dick Scott, Bernice and Gary Tuttle, and Tom Scott over Wednesday to celebrate Sharon's 60th birthday. Rick, Jason, and Shelby Huddleston spent the weekend visiting Mary Louise. Sunday, the Mike and Larry Huddleston families; Ian, Jerene, Gina, and Tori DeBono and Chad DeBono, Sharon and Dick Scott and Tom Scott; Rick and Jason Huddleston; and Mary Louise all enjoyed dinner at Chewz W. Duvall's restaurant in Granada in honor of Sharon and Mary Louise's birthdays.
