Obituary - William R. "Bill" Davis, 75

William R. "Bill" Davis of Eads and former longtime Holly resident, passed away Thursday, January 22 at St. Mary Corwin Hospital in Pueblo at the age of 75. Bill was born September 10, 1928 at Manchester, Kansas to Harry W. and Minnie E. Davis.

Funeral services for Bill were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27 at the United Methodist Church in Holly with Pastor Steven Puls officiating. Burial followed in the Holly Cemetery with Masonic graveside services under the auspices of the Granada Masonic Lodge #72 A.F. & A.M. Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel of Holly was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce of Eads; by his three children: Thomas (Cathy) Davis of Eads, Jerry (Peggy) Davis of Ordway and Christy (Mark) Dobrovolny of Lamar; by 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his father Harry W. in 1946, his mother Minnie E. in 1979, by one half brother Sam Reynolds in 1992 and by one half sister Blanche Tudor in 1999.
