Beef Cattle Seminar Feb. 3 in Brush; registration due

A beef cattle seminar sponsored by
Colorado State University Cooperative Extension and featuring a
demonstration on proper administration of pharmaceuticals will be Tuesday,
February 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at the Morgan County Fairgrounds
in Brush.
The program, which is open to the
public, will include a teaching lab on injection sites, with a focus on
quality assurance and food safety. Other topics at the seminar include
carcass disposal, a management calendar for the cow-calf operation, and
presentations on strategies to use when forages are limited and stocking
management in drought conditions.
The cost is $15 per person, or $25
for two people from the same family or ranch operation, and includes lunch
and breaks. There is a $10 late fee for registration after February 1.
