George A. Stoker was born September 9, 1921 in Haswell and passed away November 14, 2003 at Arkansas Valley Medical Center in La Junta.
Funeral services for "Pete" as he was affectionately known by family and friends will be Saturday, November 22 at 2 p.m. at the Haswell Community Building. Internment will be a private family affair.
Pete is survived by his children: Bert (Martha) Stoker of La Junta, Eldon (Sylvia) Stoker of La Junta, Duane (Brenda) Stoker of Eads, Roger Stoker of Haswell, Kathy (Galen) Hill of LaSalle and Robert Stoker of Eads; 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; and one sister Ethel Brandon of Las Animas.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents Thomas H. and Florence Nice Stoker and his wife Shirley Stoker.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Haswell Senior Citizens Center. Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
