Badia-Pla Married in Spain

In a lovely 14th century church in Pals, Spain, on October 18, 2003 at 12:30 p.m., Mar Badia and Lluis Pla were united in holy matrimony.

Mar's American brother and sister, JD and Jennifer Johnson, were honored to stand at the altar with Mar to act as her witnesses. The reception followed in Platja de Pals at a beautiful hotel on the Costa Brava. Dinner, dancing, and festivities continued well into the night.

Rod and Sharon Johnson, JD and Trena Johnson, Jennifer Johnson and Brett Boyd, and Scott Rehm were in attendance from the US. The Johnsons had been host family for Mar during the 1994-95 school year. Mar became a beloved member of the family during that year and has remained so.

After a two-week honeymoon cruise in the South Pacific, Mar and Lluis are at home in Girona, Spain.
