Kiowa County Sheriff’s Report
October 24, 2003
October 16, 5:20 p.m., State Highway 287 at mile marker 120. Dominic Dalton Alvino, 22, of Thornton, was cited in to Kiowa County Court for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop. (Submitted by Deputy LeFlore)
October 17, 9:30 a.m., Eads High School. An incident was reported by the Eads High School in regard to vandalism to the school. Upon further investigation of the incident, there being no damage to the real property of the school, only writing on the windows of the property. The incident is currently being addressed by the school. (Submitted by Captain Ray)
October 17, 11:10 p.m., State Highway 96 at mile marker 143. Deputy Leflore and Captain Ray responded to a one vehicle roll over crash. Doyle Wayne Ambrosier, 42, of Cheyenne Wells was transported to Weisbrod Memorial Hospital in Eads, and was later flown to Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, following injuries sustained in the crash. Alcohol was a contributing factor. Upon contacting Colorado State Patrol Trooper Jones, Ambrosier will be charged with driving under the influence of alcohol as a persistent drunk driver and careless driving. October 20, 11:00 a.m., State Highway 287 at mile marker 120. Sheriff Frazee and Captain Ray responded to a semi roll over with an oversized load. Colorado State Patrol is investigating. (Submitted by Captain Ray)
October 20, 3:00 p.m. Karl E. Dotey of Eads was summonsed in to Eads Municipal Court for exhibition of speed. (Submitted by Captain Ray)
