Lola J. Gray was born July 24, 1930 in Dighton, Kansas to Clarence Albert and Minnie (Wilkens) Gray. She passed away October 4, 2003 at Weisbrod Memorial Hospital in Eads at the age of 73. Lola was a long time Prowers and Kiowa County resident.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 11 at the Peacock Family Chapel, Lamar, with Ian Blacker of the Lamar Christian Church officiating and interment will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
Lola was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Haskell on August 25, 1990; step-father, Albert J. Bertalotto, parents, Clarence and Minnie Gray; daughter, Charlene Haskell; brother, Wilbur Gray; and sister Eileen Andrews.
Haskell is survived by her children: Jeanne Smith of Manzanola, Tommy Ray (Melanie) Haskell of Wiley; grandchildren: Dana Smith, Dena "Shelly" (Renato) Corte, Shae (Chad) Krentz, Matthew Haskell; great grandchildren: Brittany and Domenic Gonzalez, Mykayla and Tate Krentz; sister: Doris (Earl) Fedder of Loveland; several nieces and nephews including Jack Witt of Houston, Texas.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Weisbrod Hospital directly or in care the Peacock Funeral Home who was in charge of arrangements.
