Wild Horse Roundup

It’s Saturday night at 9 p.m. and we
have just come home from the Ernie Hammer’s end of summer party. There was
a very large crowd with lots of visiting and eating. There was barbeque
goat weenie roast and lots of food and desserts. There was a singer and
music to enjoy plus a hay ride for anyone to take part in. Someone asked
if I could name everyone, but I don’t have enough paper or know the names.
It was a great party and everyone thanks the Hammer’s for a nice evening.
We had a nice letter from Jean
Pearson Sackett of Cope. She sent us a picture of a plate she got in
Wisconsin. It has on it a name that says: "Good things to eat – Briggs &
Bryan Wild Horse, Colo." She said it was about 1915. It sounds like a
eating place. She also has a plate of Hugo 1910.
The Lonnie Jackson’s went to Salina,
Kansas today to meet their daughter, Manda and family, who live in
Missouri. I think they were celebrating someone’s birthday.
