Skylah Lyon-Filbeck Named Cutest Baby

During the 2003 Kiowa County Fair, Baby Bear Hugs sponsored a Cute Baby Contest for all residents 0-3 years of age. Baby Bear Hugs raised $445.26 from the 18 contest entries. Prizes were donated by The Fix-It Shop, Kiowa Healthmart, Baby Bear Hugs, and Shannon Cutts.
First place went to Skylah Lyon-Filbeck, daughter of Destiny Lyon and C.J. Filbeck. Skylah is 9 months old and won by receiving 15,727 votes. Skylah’s proud grandparents are Valorie Lyon and the late Frankie Osborn and Wayne Filbeck and Nicki Filbeck. Second place went to Jayden Kiniston, daughter of Sabrina Kiniston. Jayden received 7,440 votes. Third place was Hatch Nelson, son of Sam and Denise Nelson. Hatch received 4,008 votes.
There were 15 other entries in the contest and each will receive a book and certificate. In order of number of votes received, the other participants were: Ross Brown, Lauren Brown, Janae Tanner Voss, Triston Moyers, Donte Sierra, Chase Stolzenberger, Colby Stoker, Kallie King, Cassidy Dale Jagers, Blake Stoker, Levi Splitter, Mollie Marie Kelley, Kearston Layce Barton, Tyson Chad Barton, and Mollie Stolzenberger.
