Ryan Trosper and Bill Trosper came in second with a 67, while Shawn Randel and Jose Talamantes came into the third place money shooting a 68. Club members were sold on Saturday night in a Calcutta after an impressive potluck dinner that saw more than 125 golf fans in attendance. The sold golfers competed in the club tournament on Sunday where Gail Crawford continued with the hot putter winning the scratch Championship Flight Player’s Pool with a 76. His buyer would also enjoy big returns as Crawford also tied with Chad Rouse in the handicapped Calcutta Championship Flight with a 74. Other club winners included Shawn Randel in the First Flight Player’s Pool and Calcutta with an 83 and Doug Uhland in the Second Flight Player’s Pool and Calcutta with a 107.

The best individual eighteen-hole performance came from Eads High School’s 2003 graduate Ryan Trosper who is now a varsity member of the Lamar Community College golf team. Trosper shot a scorching 71 in the scratch nonmember tournament and did not accept his winnings but rather forfeited them to the Eads Golf Club. The member golf tournament was the culminating event for this season that had area golf enthusiasts holding off their game for over a year while the greens were groomed into condition. Monti Crawford and Chad Rouse, partners, line up a putt on the third green at the new Eads Golf Course during tournament action on Saturday morning in Eads.
