Bent-Prowers Cattlemen to Hold Steak FrySeptember 26, 2003 Bent-Prowers Cattle & Horse Growers Association has set Sunday, October 5, 2003, for their Annual Joint Steak Fry with the Southeast Colorado Cattlewomen and Southeast Colorado Junior Cattlemen. The steak fry will be held at the McClave High School Courtyard in McClave beginning at 1:00 pm. Steaks, drinks and table service will be provided. Everyone is asked to bring a side dish. Mike Callicrate, cattle feeder from St. Francis, Kansas and founding partner in Ranch Foods Direct will share his vision for this up and coming company and will also talk about alternative marketing strategies in the cattle business today. Mr. Callicrate was featured in the September 2003, CCA Cattle Guard magazine and will be a very inspiring guest speaker for the afternoon. The steak fry is open to all Bent-Prowers members and cattlemen alike. Please RSVP no later than Thursday, October 2nd to Bent-Prowers secretary, Lori Chase at 719-829-4724.
