The Plainview Knowledge Team will
host their annual knowledge meet October 10. Please call sponsor Ruth Fees
by October 1 if you are interested in helping.
The Sheridan Lake Livewires 4-H Club
would like to invite EVERYONE to their potluck September 29. Grandparents,
adopted grandparents, community members, leaders, and anyone who is
interested in 4-H or who has helped the members this year.
The Kiowa County Fair went well this
past week. Many Towner community members enjoyed the barbeques, the
rodeos, the food, the conversation, the exhibits, and the animals. Linly
and Sherell Stum, Brain Nai, and Felix Henke all enjoyed the fair and
parade on Saturday and Linly, Felix, and Brian had fun at the demolition
derby on Sunday.
Monte, Linda, Kami, and Kirbi Stum
and Henriette Wicke spent most of their week at Eads taking care of
animals and enjoying everything.

Susan Greenfield also enjoyed the
fair this weekend.
Mary Louise Huddleston had Sharon
and Dick Scott; Tom Scott of Tribune, Kansas; and Donna and Jason
Huddleston and his friend Kristin of Colorado Springs, for dinner this
weekend.
Last Saturday, Gary and Bernice
Tuttle and Tracy Gary and her daughter all took dinner, cake, and ice
cream to Holly for Linsey Jensen's birthday. Linsey family, Eric, Austin,
and Tre were also there.
Last Friday through Sunday, Monte
Stum took Henriette Wicke, Felix Henke, Brian Nai, and two other exchange
students Hana and Tommy to Wichita, Kansas, for an orientation weekend. On
their way home, they visited the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, Kansas.
