James R. Pearson was born November 19, 1924 in Eastland County, Texas and passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2003 at his home in Lamar.
Mr. Pearson lived in Eastern Kiowa County until moving to Lamar in 1975.
Graveside funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 9 at the Eads Cemetery with Pastor Jose Lopez officiating. Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel of Lamar was in charge of arrangements.
Pearson was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Bertie Pearson of Kermit, Texas; by two brothers, Alvin and Truman of Texas and by two sisters; Velma Brown and Jewel Whitling, also both of Texas.
James is survived by three children: James R. (Judy) Pearson, Jr.; and Crickette King all of Sierra Vista, Arizona; and Donna Driskell of Fort Collins; by 10 grandchildren to include Robert (Mindy) King of Wiley and Donita (Fabien) Tovar of Lamar; by 6 great grandchildren; as well as by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
