2004 Fair Royalty Contest September 7August 15, 2003 The contest for the 2004 Kiowa County Fair and Rodeo Royalty will be held 5:00 pm, Sunday, September 7, at the Fairgrounds in Eads. This contest is open to single Kiowa County residents meeting the following age requirements as of the contest date: Queen contestants between ages 15 and 23; Jr. Princess contestants between ages 9 and 14; and Tiny Tot Princess contestants between ages 5 and 8. No pre-registration is necessary to compete, however each contestant must sign a Code of Conduct and liability waiver. The queen is required to represent Kiowa County by attending a minimum of three other fairs or rodeos, as well as participating in Kiowa County Fun Day and Fair parade. Princesses may travel to other events, but are only required to participate in the Fun Day and Parade. Horsemanship patterns, conduct code, waivers, and other information may be obtained at the County Extension Office, or from the queen coordinator, Dawn James, at (719) 438-5578.
