Johnson Receives Service AwardAugust 1, 2003 Rod Johnson, County Executive Director of the USDA Farm Service Agency for Kiowa County, recently returned from the National Association of County Office Employees (NASCOE) Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he was honored with the National Distinguished Service Award. Fellow Colorado County Executive Director Jean Turner of Boulder County nominated Rod for this prestigious award. Rod first won the Colorado honor, then the Southwest Area award, and finally the national award. Rod was recognized for over thirty years of volunteer work for his community, the Colorado Division of Wildlife, and within his job with FSA. His family and co-workers are extremely proud of all of Rod’s accomplishments and of his selfless generosity.
