Community Marketplace to Begin July 5

The second summer of the Eads Community Marketplace will commence July 5, 2003 at Eads City Park. The marketplace will be open from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. every Saturday through September. There is no cost to either sell or buy at the marketplace.

According to Chamber of Commerce officials, last summer’s Community Marketplace was a success. At times there were more buyers than sellers available, but the concept was received well by the public.

Vendors sold everything from crafts to baked goods, to eggs and homegrown produce during last summer’s marketplace. There are no restrictions upon what can be sold at the marketplace and the public is invited to utilize the venue for fund raising activities or just to earn extra cash.
