Brown Wins Trip to Washington, D.C.

Ashley Brown of the Eads FFA Chapter was named the Arkansas Valley FFA District’s Washington Leadership Conference scholarship recipient at the 75th Colorado FFA Convention June 4-6 in Burlington. Brown received a certificate and a cash award in recognition of her accomplishments.

Brown will attend the National FFA Organization’s Washington Leadership Conference later this summer. The conference is designed to build leadership skills through interactive, hands-on sessions. Participants from across the United States come together to learn, tour the nation’s capital, visit with their members of Congress and develop skills that will last a lifetime.

The Washington Leadership Conference scholarship is sponsored by Tri-State Generation and Transmission of Denver and the Bent County Farm Bureau as a special project of the Colorado FFA Foundation.

"Unlocking Your Potential" was the convention theme. More than 1,500 FFA members, advisors, supporters and guests attended the convention at the Burlington High School campus.
