Wild Horse RoundupJune 13, 2003 What better headlines than to say it rained. We had four rains this week that made a little over one and a half inches. They were slow and soaked in. Our grass is nice and the cows, when lying around, look like they are smiling. Friday night was terrible for lightning. There must have been an old car show this weekend somewhere. Marty and I seen quite a parade of them going by and they were going right along. They looked like they were 1928 to 1930 models.

Darrell and Yvonne Schallenberger stopped in a few days ago on their way to keep a doctors appointment. They checked out our new shower room and thought it looked pretty nice. While eating lunch today, we talked how different the last day of school is as compared to many years ago. The kids here all used to go down to Big Sandy for a picnic and dig in the sand to find water and play games. I’m sure that wouldn’t appeal to kids now as there is too much else to do. I don’t know if kids play marbles anymore or tag. We played a lot of hide-and-go-seek. Maybe they still do all those things, but at our age we don’t see it.
