Arkansas Valley Marketing Coalition to Meet in Eads

The Arkansas Valley Area Marketing Coalition will be having a community meeting at Our Place Restaurant at 12:00 PM on Thursday, June 19, 2003 to discuss the regional business linkages that they have uncovered and methods to enhance the business development efforts in the region.

In recent months, the economic development organizations in the southern Arkansas Valley have joined forces to look at the issue of economic diversity in today’s challenging rural environment. The Arkansas Valley Area Marketing Coalition is an alliance created to develop an Action Plan for business retention, expansion and attraction for the Arkansas Valley area.

The Coalition has been working with the New Perspectives Group, LLC to develop an action plan and identify the most promising business opportunities that can create new jobs by either expanding existing operations or attracting complimentary businesses or strategic partnerships with other businesses in the Arkansas Valley region. This is a realistic goal of creating jobs, business expansions or new opportunities that help to diversify the Arkansas Valley economy. Felice Entratter and Steve Barnard have been heading the NPG team—with combined economic development and business experience of over 45 years.

The public’s input is very important to assist NPG and AVAMC in determining the direction the Coalition will take. Please contact Janet Frederick, Kiowa County Economic Development Foundation, 719-438-2200 with your questions or comments, and to RSVP for this community meeting.
