The Plainview 2003 high school graduates returned home from Florida Monday night. They spent a week touring and having fun for their senior sneak. Those seniors and sponsors who went include Megan Fickenscher, Kaddy Strogies, Katha Greuel, Brandon Murdock, Cecil Colgin, Brady Butler, and Mike and Sharon Arns.
I am leaving Saturday with my cousins, Misty and Chris and a friend of ours, for Texas where we will take part in a missions training before heading out for a missions trip to Peru for a month. We are going with Global Expeditions, a division of Teen Mania Ministries, and will be home around July 10. If you have any news, you can call my mom, Linda, at 727-5461. Thanks!
Misty and Chris Stum spent the last two weeks in New Carlisle, Ohio, visiting and working with David and Traeln Hoover. They also enjoyed David and Traeln's children: Emma, Anna, and Adam. David and Traeln used to live in our community.
Cheri Hopkins traveled to Denver this past weekend to visit her father Bob Schlabaugh and his wife Lou. From there, she visited Jesse and Becky Quinby in Greeley.
Jimmy Specht of Bixby, Oklahoma, visited Leo and Kathy Specht and family over Memorial Weekend to attend Becca Specht's 8th grade graduation. When he returned home, Vicki, Becca, and Joanna Specht went with him. The girls stayed for a week and returned home Monday with Danny Specht, also of Bixby. Danny will be visiting for a few months.
Dixie Scott of Bloomfield, New Mexico, has been visiting many of her friends here in southeastern Colorado for the past week or so. Everyone has been very happy to see her!
Monte, Linda, Kami, and Kirbi Stum visited L.G. and Phylis Vanderwork and Dixie Scott Sunday afternoon in Eads.
Mary Louise Huddleston and Dixie Scott visited Clovis and Lorene Uptergrove on Saturday afternoon.
Last Wednesday, Jay, Tara, and Savannah Stum; Monte, Linda, Kami, and Kirbi Stum; and Lane and Tammy Stum took Linly and Sherell Stum out to dinner in honor of their 46th wedding anniversary.
