Balloon Travels 1,416 Miles in 23 Hours

On Monday, May 12, 2003 the Weisbrod Nursing Home residents acted in a balloon lift at 2 p.m. with the second and third graders from Eads Elementary School.

Surprisingly to our knowledge the next afternoon Nancy Wilson had already received a response from a John Farmer who lives in Savannah, Georgia. The balloon had traveled 1,416 miles in 23 hours.

On Thursday, May 15 Belva Berry had also received a response from a Danielle Boreal that lives in Babine, Kansas.

The residents were excited to hear the news of people receiving their balloons. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed this activity.
