Southeast Colorado Wool Pool Sets Date

The dates for collection and marketing of wool produced in Southeast Colorado have been set according to Bill Hancock, Wool Pool Coordinator for the Southeast Woolgrowers Association.

We will have two collection points this year states Hancock. The first will be in Lamar at the Sand and Sage Fairgrounds from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28th. The contact person for the Lamar collection is Leonard Pruett, SE Area Extension Livestock Specialist (719) 336-7734. The next collection date will be at Rocky Ford at the Bill Hancock Ranch (South of Rocky Ford on County Road 18). Collection will be from 8:00 a.m. until noon. The wool must be packaged in either round or square poly packs. The preferred method is the square pack. Wool not properly packaged must be repacked at the collection point. A square packer and bags will be available at both collection points.
