Obituary - Richard Dean Waag, 72

Richard Dean Waag was born July 27, 1930, near Ft. Collins to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Waag. From the time he was a young child, Richard loved to work with his horse, and he was rather gifted in this area. Around 20 years ago, when his parent’s health declined, Richard came to live in Eads at the Eads Home. During the time he has been a resident here, he was employed by an area rancher, caring for his donkeys and mules.

Richard was a kind and generous man. Those who knew him were entertained by his ever-ready dry wit and sense of humor. On quiet days, he liked to just sit in the park, sometimes watching the horseshoe games.

Richard Waag passed from this life May 5, 2003, at the Weisbrod Memorial Hospital in Eads. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers. He is survived by Glenda Waag. Also surviving is Mary Holcomb and the rest of his family at the Eads Home, as well as by many other friends in Eads.

Graveside funeral services were held May 7, 2003, at the Eads Cemetery in Eads with Pastor Donald Lott officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.
