East End EventsMay 9, 2003 This past week was a very busy one for most of us. The high school competed in the Tribune JV track meet on Monday. On Wednesday the junior and senior high school both competed in the league track meet in Mc Clave. Luckily the weather was cooperative. However, the elementary track meet was rained out on Friday. The regional track meet will be this Thursday in Springfield. Our junior/senior banquet and Prom was a success again this year. After working all week decorating and preparing for the event, it was nice to be able to enjoy it. Everyone looked very nice. Following the dance, most of us attended Post Prom. We played bingo for prizes and then went out to the football field to Paintball. Thank you to everyone who helped out in any way with Prom as well as Post Prom. The High School shop class built an 8x12 shed that is currently for sale. They are taking bids starting at $1500. Bids need to be turned into Jay Wilson by May 19th, 2003 at 4:00 pm. If you would like more information or would like to place a bid contact Jay Wilson at school (729-3331) or at home (729-3408). The school will host an assembly on Cystic Fibrosis, Thursday at 12:30pm with B.J. Hoch. This assembly will precede the annual fundraisers sponsored by the Sheridan Lake Livewire 4-H Club. The walk/bike-a-thon will be Friday, May 16th and the bake sale/car wash/BBQ will be May 23rd at the Sheridan Lake Fire Station. Please come out and support this very worthy cause.
