Wild Horse Roundup

What am I supposed to write about when all I do is sit in this chair and watch the traffic go by and wiggle to move the spots around? I do get up and do my exercises. It’s supposed to be twice a day, but once in a while I forget, but I want to do them so I get better. I have a doctor’s appointment Wednesday and also for an x-ray so he can see what’s going on.

Marty looked out our window a few mornings ago and there were about 15 turkeys out there. Later on Lee stepped out and there was a big lone gobbler that must have gotten separated. He must have been old by the length of his beard.

Tomorrow the 6th Lee Ann will tack on another year. I believe she will be 47. Where does the time go? I was just looking at pictures and there she was as fair and rodeo queen. I believe she was 17. Others were her ball games in Cheyenne Wells, Sterling and Wyoming. It was all so great but time marches on.

Steve and Debbie were here today so he and Marty could so some measuring in our bathroom as they are going to remodel it. It is so small you can barely turn around.

I enjoy watching the Rockies beat Arizona today in 10 innings. They have lots of new people I don’t recognize.

I was looking at one of Lee’s photo albums this evening and seen something that I don’t imagine there is many around. It is the Kit Carson High School paper called the "Scout." This one is for the years 1934 and ’35. I read a lot of it about activities, school plays and such. I don’t know how many went to school then, but there is a lot of names. There are some still around.

Sunday I was sitting here last night watching the news when I got a surprise when I saw two lightning flashes and I thought here comes some rain. When I got up to go to bed I looked out and our sidewalk was wet. When I got up this morning, what a beautiful sight, about three inches or so of wet snow. I can almost see the green grass. Marty said she can see a little now.

We just talked to Lee Ann to wish her a happy birthday. No party, just the kids made her a pretty cake. Company came while we were talking so we cut it short.
