LCC Prepares For Career EventsApril 4, 2003 Lamar Community College will host its second annual Regional Career Development Events for area FFA chapters on Wednesday, April 9, 2003. Eads FFA and Kit Carson FFA plus students from twenty-two schools from Southeast Colorado will be attending. Other participating schools are: High Plains District; Ark Valley District; Southeast District; Arickaree FFA; Cheyenne Wells FFA; Lamar FFA; Burlington FFA; Pritchett FFA; Flagler FFA; Holly FFA; Springfield FFA; High Plains FFA; Karval FFA; Vilas FFA; Idalia FFA; Walsh FFA; Liberty-Joes FFA; McClave FFA; Wiley FFA; Limon FFA; Otis FFA; Stratton FFA; and Woodlin FFA. Over 400 individuals will compete in seven contests, including Ag Mechanics, Farm Business Management, Field Crops, Horse Judging, Land Classification, Livestock Judging, and Meats Evaluation. Robert Miller, Director and Advisor for Diversity & Recruiting, College of Agricultural Science at Colorado State University, will speak to participants after lunch. Activities are scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at approximately 3:00 p.m.
