Eads Chamber Sponsors "Design the Sign" Contest’

The Eads Chamber of Commerce has announced it is sponsoring a contest to design a tributary sign to commemorate state championships that have been won by Eads High School sports teams throughout the years. Chamber officials state that such a sign has been discussed for years and the recent dual state championships won by both the girls and boys basketball teams has revived the desire to recognize these achievements in a manner that will be noticeable to local residents and travelers.

Plans call for two signs to be erected along highway 287. One sign will be displayed at the north entrance to Eads, and the second sign at the south entrance. The signs will be permanent fixtures and should be designed as such.

The Chamber will be paying a $50 cash prize for the winning design entry, which will be selected by the Chamber based upon attractiveness of the sign design and the functionality of its construction.

Entries for the "Design the Sign’ contest must be received by April 25, 2003, and should be mailed to Eads Chamber of Commerce, PO Box , Eads, CO 81036. Design entries may also be delivered to any Chamber of Commerce member business.
