Obituary - Harold L. Cloyd, 79

Harold Logan Cloyd was born at Bolckow, Missouri, on December 24, 1923, to Van and Lola Ellis Cloyd. He was the oldest son in a family of nine children. Harold Cloyd,79, of Nampa, passed away on March 17, 2003, at a Boise hospital after a short illness. 

Harold attended schools in Havilland, Kansas, and enlisted in the Army on May 10, 1943, and served in the European theater during WW II. He was discharged on March 16, 1946.

On March 29, 1946, he and Reta Cox were married at Sharon Springs, Kansas. They were the parents of three children: Gary, Rhonda and Casey.

Harold is survived by his wife, Reta, son Gary Cloyd and wife, Susan, of Hannibal, Missouri; Rhonda and husband, George Schroeder, of Nampa, Idaho, and Casey Cloyd of Nampa; three brothers and four sisters; nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Velma Stephens. 

A Memorial Service for Harold was held at the Silvercrest I club house in Nampa, Idaho on March 20. 

A Memorial Service was held at the Weskan Methodist Church in Weskan, Kansas, at 2:00 p.m. on March 28, 2003, and inurnment will follow at the Weskan Cemetery. Cremation was under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Service in Nampa, Idaho.
