Dixie Scott wrote me the other day and asked me to let all her friends up here know that her son Steve's high school basketball team, the Kirtland Broncos, won their third championship in a row! The girls' team also won state, which was anticipated, but the guys' victory was a pleasant surprise. Congratulations!

The Plainview Junior class is hosting a community soup supper and a knowledge bowl on April 24. April 17 is the deadline for entering a team. A team costs $15 for no more than four members per team. Bernice Tuttle and Mary Louise Huddleston went to Garden City last week for some appointments. Saturday night, they also attended a dinner and musical at Granada.

Sunday evening, there was a birthday party for Gayla Butler. Those helping Gayla celebrate include C.B., Laurie, Nicholas, and Athena Crum; Brady and Dale Butler; and Shawna and Layni Dunbar.

 

Susan Greenfield traveled to Denver this weekend to visit her sister and brother-in-law. On Saturday, they went shopping at the outlet stores in Castle Rock.

The Sheridan Lake Livewires competed in the Distric 6 Fun Festival. They performed their "Fun Time Fashion Show" and received blue ribbons and grand champion ribbons.
