Junior High Holds First Knowledge Meet

The Eads Junior High held their first Knowledge Bowl meet here on Monday, February 24. This is a new venture for the Junior High this year and the students and sponsors Dawn James and Tammy Ullman were very excited. There were a total of 9 teams attending, with visitors from Crowley County, Karval, and Granada. The young Eads teams did an excellent job in their first competition receiving 2nd and 3rd places in the 8th grade division, and 2nd and 4th in the 7th grade division. For this meet we also had a sixth grade team in order to have a full slate.
Members for the eighth grade are Alex Golubiewski, Destiny Saffer, Kenan Gooden, Milly Spady, Bethany Kerfoot, Trice Watts, Jacob Buck, Billy Brandt, and Sanket Marchand. Seventh grade members are Jessica James, Drew Koch, Talli Hansen, Chevaun Glover, Trinity Wilkerson, Jacob Kraft, Shalyn Laird, and Kevin Lindholm.The sixth grade was represented by Chandni Marchand, Cory Adamson, Laura Rife, Jordan Barnett, Charlie Philpy, Hayden Uhland, Blake Miller and Tyler Fox.
We would like to thank the High School knowledge bowl team who served as readers, timers, and score keepers for this meet.
We appreciate all the parents and grandparents who came to watch us in action.
