2003 Kiowa County Fair Market Steers Weigh In

The market steers to be shown at the 2003 Kiowa County Fair were weighed in on February 28, 2003. That date was 194 days before the beginning of the fair on September 10, 2003. Eight steers were weighed with an average weight of 742 pounds. Four of the steers were designated for the Rate-of -Gain contest. Eligibility for this contest is that the steers cannot weigh over 750 pounds. All of the steers were raised by local producers so it will be interesting to see the results at the fair.

One reminder – we need either the brand papers or a hand written and signed "Bill of Sale" for the steers in the Extension Office. Please get these to either Lance Jagers or the Extension Office as soon as possible.
