Library Lover’s Month at KCPLJanuary 31, 2003 February is Library Lover’s Month at Kiowa County Public Library. Amnesty week will be held February 10 – 14. Return those pesky overdue books during this time and your fines will be forgiven. The annual great magazine give-away will be held during amnesty week as well. Stop by and pick up a year’s worth of some of your favorite magazines: Good Housekeeping, Better Homes and Gardens, Sunset, Martha Stewart Living, Marie Claire, YM, Time, People, Taste of Home, Home Cooking, Progressive Farmer, Sport’s Illustrated, Family Handyman, Prevention. We have resumed story time on Mondays at 1:00 p.m. Preschool children are invited to attend for a half an hour of stories and to get acquainted with the library and staff. Don’t forget that the library is open until 5:30 p.m. on Monday evenings through April for your convenience.

Tax time is upon us again. We do have some tax forms and will be getting more as they become available. Most forms can be downloaded from the IRS website, www.irs.ustreas.gov. We can do that for you in the library for a dime a page or you can access the site from your home computer. We can all look forward to the latest Harry Potter book to be released in June. In the meantime, we have the first four volumes, the video of the first book, and audio tapes of all four. Our audio tape collection is growing. They are great for those long trips to Pueblo, Colorado Springs, Denver, or wherever. (They can also break up the monotony of farming.) Come check them out. |
