Eads Police Report

[Editor’s note: The Eads Police Report will appear regularly in the Press. Minor incidents, such as "dog at large" are omitted from these reports.]

January 6, 9:30 p.m. Responded to a two vehicle accident on private property. An accident report was files, with no citations issued.

January 7, 3:00 p.m. 1110 Luther Street, Eads. Responded to a gas leak in the ally. Upon arriving on the scene, found that a motor vehicle had struck the gas meter, causing the meter to break off completely. The fire department was called to stand by on the scene due to the gas leak. The entire block of 11th and 12th streets west of Luther street was evacuated, and the streets blocked off due to the gas leak. Atmos Energy responded to the scene and fixed the break until the meter could be replaced. The cause of the accident is under further investigation at this time.


January 7, 9:00 p.m. Jared Paul Tarantino, 25, of Eads was summonsed into Eads Municipal Court for seven counts of disorderly conduct under the disturbance ordinance. This stems from an investigation over the past two weeks where numerous reports have been received regarding Tarantino. The disorderly conduct charges involve an approximately 15 day time period in Eads during which the subject is alleged to have posed himself in a compromising manner. We would encourage all members of the community to contact the Kiowa County Sheriff’s Office if you have any information regarding this matter so a report can be taken.
