Obituary - Lois Marvel Miller, 75

Lois Marvel Miller of Longmont died Tuesday, July 2, 2002 at her home. She was 75.

She was born August 26, 1926, to Gurner Clyde and Mable Clara (Carver) Sinkhorn in Eads. She moved to Longmont in 1941 from Oxford, Nebraska.

On December 24, 1941 she married Theron E. Miller in Alma, Nebraska.

Mrs. Miller worked in the kitchen at the old Longmont Hospital and ran a Conoco filling station. She was also a homemaker. She was a companion to Mrs. (Doctor) Sidwell.

She was a member of First Christian Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, the VFW Auxiliary and the Women’s International Bowling Congress.

Mrs. Miller bowled at the original Longmont Lanes and continued bowling for 45 years. She also went to national tournaments in Denver and Salt Lake City.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her father; her husband on December 31, 1982; three brothers, Clyde, Robert and Richard Sinkhorn; and a sister, Viola Summy.

She is survived by her mother; a son, Lenny Eugene Miller of Longmont; two daughters, Nancy Ilene Boden and her husband Larry of Colorado Springs and Bettyann (Miller) Rexroad of Longmont; two sisters, Virginia Gorsuch and Imogene Wagner, both of Longmont; five grandchildren, Robert A., James E. Clara J. Rexroad and Phillip E. and David B. Boden and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6 at LiveBridge Christian Church with the Rev. David Bradshaw of the church officiating. A private family graveside service was held at a later date at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
